10/11/25 Gilbert Hernandez spoke at a Veterans Day event honoring Veterans at San Antonio College Victory Center. Other speakers included Senator Jose Menendez, District 26, Dr. Francisco E. Solis college President, Dr. Mike Flores Alamo Colleges District Chancellor. The event also honored an outstanding student Veteran.

July 2025: The Birdwell San Antonio Chapter conducted a PTSD group session centered around plants. Its premier message was as plants require water, Sun, and good soil we too need the goodness of the Lord, friends, and positive attitudes. Like a flower, once nourished with care; We grow and become better!

04-23-25 San Antonio Chapter conducted its PTSD group session on Wednesday! Theme was centered around "Celebrating Recovery." Participants shared, laughed, and enjoyed Cake as well as releasing balloons as a way to show that we are "Moving Forward." Heck of a Time!

3-13-25 San Antonio Chapter conducted its PTSD group session last night with Banana Splits! Topic: Healing comes in various way! This opened the eyes of our clients to become positively creative in their healing process! In this case, banana splits brought smiles, laughter, team work and of course full tummy's!
